In the context of the Cypriot
Civil Society Strengthening Programme a range of events
will be convened, including workshops, conferences and
roundtables. The overall aim of these events will be to
promote the exchange of ideas and of knowledge on a
range of critical issues facing Cypriot civil society.
Events will draw together actors from within civil
society and from other sectors to increase debate and
informed decision-making.

This event will aim to bring together a local and
international audience to participate in knowledge
sharing on the role of Civil Society in contributing to
decision making.

1- Presentation for
Funding Opportunities for NGOs - December 2007
In the context of the Cypriot Civil Society
Strengthening Programme, the NGO Support Centre has
organized a presentation on “Funding Opportunities for
Non-Governmental Organizations" on 19 December 2007.
Invited guests included speakers from the European
Institute of Cyprus, representatives of the EU, as well
as representatives of NGOs.
The aim of the presentation was to give participants an
overview of funding opportunities for NGOs from the
European Union, as well as to present examples of funded
projects that are currently being implemented by Cypriot
NGOs. The presentation took place in Greek and was open
to everyone.
