Chapter 19 The Bold Hu Jing
Chapter 19 The Bold Hu Jing
The opportunity came on a night when filming wrapped up early.
Fu Yibai seemed to be in a good mood that day. After the shoot, he chatted with everyone briefly before leaving.
Hu Jing silently calculated the time. After returning to the hotel, she took a careful shower and, based on information found online, changed into a bodycon skirt that men could not resist and put on the sexy black stockings she had secretly prepared.
She wasn't wearing makeup, just a light layer of lip balm, and her hair was naturally loose, carrying a fresh post-shower scent.
She took several deep breaths in front of the mirror, mustered her courage, and picked up a script that was heavily marked—a "prop" she had prepared in advance.
Then, she left the room and went straight to Fu Yibai's suite.
Standing in front of that door, her heart was pounding like a drum, and her palms were sweaty.
She could almost hear the sound of her blood rushing through her veins.
I closed my eyes, and the image of Fan Binbin entering the room that night flashed through my mind again, along with all sorts of heart-fluttering moments of Fu Yibai.
We can't hesitate any longer.
Hu Jing raised her slightly trembling hand and rang the doorbell.
"Ding-dong—"
The crisp sound rang out in the quiet corridor, as if striking her heart.
She held her breath, waiting for the movement behind the door, waiting for the unknown next moment that could change everything.
The door opened.
Fu Yibai stood behind the door, having just finished showering, his hair still dripping wet. He was casually dressed in a dark gray cotton T-shirt and casual pants, holding a towel to dry his hair.
When he saw that it was Hu Jing standing outside the door, especially her current attire, a hint of surprise flashed in his eyes.
He thought it would be Fan Binbin knocking on the door again, but it turned out to be Hu Jing.
The light in the corridor outlined Hu Jing's profile, which was completely different from her usual appearance.
The tight-fitting bodycon dress clearly outlined her waist and hip curves, and the black stockings gleamed subtly under the light. Her long legs stood side by side, and the fresh scent of her post-bath bath mingled with a hint of nervous warmth.
Her face was bare, but her eyes shone with an astonishing brightness, brimming with a fearless courage, shyness, and a familiar invitation from a woman.
"Hu Jing?"
Fu Yibai's voice was slightly lower than usual, with a scrutinizing tone.
"Director Fu..."
Hu Jing's voice was a little strained. She held up the script in her hand, her fingertips trembling slightly, trying her best to make her reasons sound reasonable.
"I'm still not confident about the scene where I have a conflict with Yang Jiaqi tomorrow..."
I'd like to ask you to go over the words again and clarify the logical flow...
Did I disturb your rest?
Her excuse was exactly the same as Fan Binbin's that night, even more naive and clumsy.
But given her current attire and her almost flushed cheeks, the attempt to conceal her "consulting on the script" was as thin as a transparent veil.
Fu Yibai's gaze slowly swept over her face and body, and the scrutinizing look made Hu Jing's heart almost leap out of her chest.
She almost backed down, but thinking of Fan Binbin and her tossing and turning these past two days, she forced herself to straighten her back and meet his gaze, even though her eyelashes were trembling slightly.
The few seconds of silence felt like an eternity to Hu Jing.
Then, Fu Yibai stepped aside, his tone calm and even.
"Come in."
Hu Jing felt as if she had been granted a pardon, but also felt extremely uneasy as she slipped into the room.
The door closed behind me with a soft "click," shutting out the outside world.
Only a few ambient lights were on in the suite, creating a dim and soft lighting.
The air still carried the refreshing scent of shower gel, as well as Fu Yibai's unique aroma, a blend of faint tobacco and male hormones.
Some documents were still spread out on the desk, and the laptop was closed.
Fu Yibai did not immediately go to the desk, but instead went to the small refrigerator, took out two bottles of water, and handed one to Hu Jing, who was standing stiffly in the middle of the living room.
"sit."
He pointed to the sofa, sat down on the single sofa next to it, unscrewed the bottle cap and took a sip, his posture relaxed, as if he really just wanted to discuss the script.
Hu Jing took the water; the cool touch made her a little more awake.
She sat down on the sofa as instructed, her legs together and slightly crossed, her fingers unconsciously twisting the bottle cap.
She had the script on her lap, and the open page was the crucial scene to be filmed tomorrow, but she couldn't concentrate on reading a single word.
"Where are you unsure?"
Fu Yibai spoke, his gaze falling on the script on her knee, his tone professional.
"At once......"
Hu Jing forced herself to focus back on the script, pointing to a line of dialogue.
She tried her best to keep her voice steady, but the slight tremor betrayed the turmoil in her heart.
Fu Yibai leaned over, took the script from her hand, and glanced at it in the dim light.
His arm brushed against her knee, bringing a subtle sensation.
Hu Jing's body tensed up almost imperceptibly.
…………
Hu Jing took the script, looked down at it, and processed his words.
The room quieted down, with only the faint sound of the air conditioner blowing air.
A moment later, she looked up and found Fu Yibai leaning back on the sofa, quietly watching her. His eyes no longer held the sharp gaze of a director scrutinizing an actor; instead, they held a deeper, more enigmatic quality.
The tension in the air, which had just eased slightly due to the professional discussion, quietly tightened again.
"Director Fu..."
Hu Jing's voice became weak again. She put down the script, her fingers intertwined.
"Thank you... for explaining the play to me so late at night."
"Of course."
Fu Yibai responded calmly, his gaze sweeping over her slightly reddened ears due to nervousness, and her beautifully shaped legs encased in black stockings.
His gaze wasn't lewd, but rather carried a frank, assessing appreciation, making Hu Jing feel as if the shell of "seeking advice on the script" had been peeled away, leaving her nakedly exposed under his gaze.
Her cheeks burned, and the courage she had mustered earlier began to dissipate under such silent, oppressive stares, replaced by a stronger sense of shame and... a strange excitement.
"Am I... dressed strangely?"
She tried to break the ice with self-deprecation, but her voice trembled violently.
"Well... after taking a shower, I just threw on a dress, not expecting to have to go downstairs..."
The more you explain, the more obvious it seems like you're trying to cover something up.
Fu Yibai suddenly chuckled softly. The chuckle was very low, but it was exceptionally clear in the quiet room, carrying a knowing and playful tone.
"Not surprising."
Fu Yibai leaned forward slightly, closing the distance between them.
His intense aura, a blend of refreshing and dangerous, instantly enveloped Hu Jing.
"It suits you perfectly."
Fu Yibai added, his gaze fixed on her sparkling eyes.
"It's also... eye-catching."
Hu Jing's breathing became completely disordered.
The implications in his words and the imminent presence he exuded made her dizzy.
She looked at his face so close to hers, at his youthful yet already commanding features, his high nose bridge, and his sharply defined lips.
This is the face she has secretly watched countless times on set and imagined getting close to in her heart.
And now, the opportunity is right in front of us.
Hu Jing suddenly raised her eyes, her eyes filled with a mixture of tension, shyness, resentment, and longing, all blending into a resolute determination to burn her bridges.
"Director Fu..."
She no longer concealed it, her voice trembling with a desperate gamble.
"I...I don't just want to act."
Once the words were out, Hu Jing became strangely calmer, though her heart was pounding as if it were about to explode.
Fu Yibai was not surprised, only understanding and a hint of interest.
"So what do you want?"
He asked in a low voice, as if it were a inducement to confess, or a tacit invitation.
Hu Jing couldn't say anything more explicit; she just looked at him, her eyes filled with all the unspoken desires.
Fu Yibai understood.
He said nothing more, raised his hand and gently stroked her burning cheek, his thumb lightly caressing her delicate skin.
Hu Jing closed her eyes, her long eyelashes trembling violently, like the wings of a startled butterfly.
She felt his breath getting closer and closer, his warm breath brushing against her lips.
Then, Fu Yibai's kiss landed.
Unlike Fan Binbin's skillful and proactive kisses, this kiss initially carried a sense of probing and control, but soon, with Hu Jing's incredibly passionate response, it became deep and entangled.
Fu Yibai wrapped his arms around her waist, lifted her off the sofa, and pulled her into a tighter embrace.
The script and water bottle in Hu Jing's hands slipped and fell to the ground with a dull thud, but no one paid any attention.
With their clothes removed, the dim light outlined their intertwined figures.
Hu Jing poured all her pent-up fantasies, jealousy, resentment, and budding feelings into this sudden intimacy with a passion that bordered on sacrificial courage.
Fu Yibai guided her, exploring her youthful and elastic body, and feeling her surging emotions and clumsy attempts to please.
As the night deepened and all was quiet, the alluring atmosphere in the hotel suite gradually cooled down.
Hu Jing curled up in the messy blankets, her back to Fu Yibai. Her body still trembled slightly and felt languid after pleasure, but her mind was gradually clearing up.
The initial impulse and passion faded, reality returned, and shyness, unease, and a faint sense of lingering fear began to spread.
She actually did it.
Like Fan Binbin, she entered the man's room and got into his bed.
What will happen next? How will he view her? What if something happens on set...?
How should she face Fan Binbin tomorrow?
Her chaotic thoughts left her feeling utterly confused.
A warm hand rested on her waist, and Fu Yibai's deep voice sounded behind her, husky with lingering embarrassment: "Go wash up?"
His tone was calm and natural, revealing little emotion; there was neither tenderness nor indifference, as if everything that had just happened was nothing out of the ordinary.
Hu Jing stiffened slightly, murmured an "Mmm," got up wrapped in a thin blanket, and quickly walked into the bathroom with her head down.
The warm water washed over my body and also washed away my chaotic thoughts.
Looking at her body covered in red marks and her moist, dazed eyes in the mirror, Hu Jing took a deep breath and tried to calm herself down.
Since you've done it, you can't regret it.
This is the path she chose herself.
When she came out of the bathroom, she had already changed her clothes, her hair was wrapped in a towel, and her face had returned to calm, but her eyes were still a little daring, and she did not dare to look directly at Fu Yibai.
Fu Yibai was leaning against the bed fiddling with his phone when he heard a noise. He looked up and calmly looked at Hu Jing.
"Have you understood the script?"
Fu Yibai spoke as usual, as if the intense lovemaking just now was merely an interlude, and now they had returned to their relationship as director and actor.
Hu Jing was taken aback for a moment, then realized that he was giving her a way out and setting the tone for their future relationship—on set, work should come first.
"Okay, I understand. Thank you, Director Fu."
She nodded, her voice still a little hoarse.
"Then... I won't disturb your rest any longer."
"Don't be late for tomorrow's shoot."
Fu Yibai gave a brief instruction.
He then turned his attention back to the phone in his hand.
Hu Jing bit her lip, feeling a little empty inside, but also relieved.
That's fine, at least it's not awkward.
The corridor was deserted and silent.
She walked quickly back to her own
He closed the door to his room, leaned against it, and let out a long sigh of relief. His heart was still pounding, but something that had been hanging in the air seemed to have finally settled.
Many people are destined to be sleepless this night.
Life on set continued in a delicate balance.
On set, Fu Yibai remained the same demanding, focused, and efficient director, treating Fan Binbin and Hu Jing equally, praising them when they deserved it and criticizing them when they needed to, demonstrating an impeccable professional attitude.
Fan Binbin seemed unaware of Hu Jing's actions that night, or perhaps he was aware but didn't point it out.
However, in the days that followed, the two women seemed to have made a pact, taking turns entering Fu Yibai's room one night at a time.
